Educators' Night featuring Jennifer Latham at Best of Books on Thursday, March 2nd!
Best of Books will be hosting an Educators' Night, featuring author Jennifer Latham, on Thursday, March 2nd from 6:00-7:30pm. This event is open to the public.
We will provide refreshments, as well as door prizes and a 25% discount to educators who attend!
Jennifer Latham will be promoting her new book, "Dreamland Burning:" when seventeen-year-old Rowan Chase finds a skeleton on her family's property, she has no idea that investigating the brutal century-old murder will lead to a summer of painful discoveries about the past... and the present. Nearly one hundred years earlier, a misguided violent encounter propels seventeen-year-old Will Tillman into a racial firestorm. In a country rife with violence against blacks and a hometown segregated by Jim Crow, Will must make hard choices on a painful journey towards self discovery and face his inner demons in order to do what's right the night Tulsa burns.
Jennifer Latham is a grown-up army brat with two kids, two dogs, and a husband. After working in a morgue, a maximum-security prison, a heroin detox, and assorted middle and high schools, she decided to try her hand at writing. Happily, it stuck. She loves watching people. And she loves writing about the characters who live inside her head—even when they don’t play nice.
