Join Scholastic on the ultimate reading road trip, as they tour the country with their favorite authors, illustrators, and characters! Scholastic is partnering with bookstores and libraries in communities nationwide, hosting reading festivals for families with kids ages 0-12. Join us on Thursday, July 12th from 10:00am to 12:00pm as Scholastic will be making a stop at Best of Books. Bring your reader to this fun (and FREE!) family event to meet authors, take photos with beloved costume characters, win prizes, and more!

Join us in welcoming authors Luke Flowers, Angela Cervantes, and Tracey West to the Scholastic Summer Reading Road Trip!

Flowers is the author and illustrator of the Moby Shinobi series. Moby Shinobi is a very helpful ninja! In this rhyming Level 1 reader, Moby heads to the firehouse to help the firefighters. Moby tries to hang up the gear, spray the hose, and climb a ladder, but each try ends in a funny mess. Moby wants to help, but he worries his ninja skills aren't right for the job. When a cat gets stuck up a tree, it's finally Moby's turn to save the day! Easy-to-read, bouncy text and bright, full-color artwork make this the perfect book for young readers!

Cervantes is a poet, storyteller, and animal lover. Her poetry and short stories have appeared in various publications, and she has written the novels Gaby, Lost and Found and Allie, First at Last. When Angela is not writing, she enjoys hanging out with her husband in Kansas and eating fish tacos every chance she gets.

West has written more than 200 books for children and young adults, including the following series: Pixie Tricks, Hiro's Quest, and Dragon Masters. She has appeared on the New York Times bestseller list as author of the Pokemon chapter book adaptations. Tracey currently lives with her family in New York State's Hudson Valley. She can be found on Twitter at @TraceyWestBooks.
